We stayed at the Halifax location October 22nd, 4 adults in a suite, everything was wonderful. the gentleman who greeted us at the front desk was wonderful, his name was Paul. he did everything to make our stay very comfortable. I would highly recommend your hotel to anyone staying in the area. good job!!! J.burns

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn, Halifax. We'd stayed the previous night at the (facility name withdrawn), Halifax as it was part of a coach tour we were doing. We were so pleased to leave there and transfer to the Residence. There was no comparison in anything - rooms, service, everything was exceptional and the price was similar to the (facility name withdrawn). I searched the web before we left on our holiday and the Residence was given the 'thumbs up' by many people. We booked on that recommendation and will certainly be submitting a very positive report on your hotel in Trip Adviser. Thanks for making our stay great!! M.Pearce
We were completely satisfied with the service and amenities at the Halifax Residence Inn. As I was checking in, I was asked if they could provide me with any directions or suggestions for dinner. I jokingly said I could use directions to Prince Edward Island (for the following day). The clerk reached under the counter and produced turn by turn directions which started at the front door of the hotel and took me to the foot of Confederation Bridge. That was very nice! Wintin
My wife and I shared the cost of a two room suite with my brother and his wife, and we enjoyed the amount of room available and the privacy of the two bed rooms. We were able to share the living room and kitchen, but also have privacy of the bath rooms and our own sleeping times in the bed rooms. It is a great idea to separate the two bed room with bath rooms by the wide living space. My sister-in-law kept commenting on the comfortable amount of room (and she travels more than we do and enjoys cruises, etc.) My only concern is that there are so few suites like this in the hotel in Halifax. We had to book it about two months in advance. I think this style of room is great for families and friends traveling together, and there should be more available. B. Daily
Paul, the front desk employee at the Residence Inn in Halifax was extremely helpful and friendly to us during our stay. We had to miss the breakfast buffet because of an early flight and he sent up some breakfast for us bright and early. It was a great start to our departure from Halifax. The front desk team gave us efficient driving directions to the airport and we didn't get lost. Everyone was amazing. Thanks. -Heather Crole

Recently stayed at this hotel for a long weekend - could not have been happier. Staff was fantastic! Location was terrific. Room - 2 bedroom suite - was enormous and had more than enough room for the three of us. It was like staying in a nice apartment. Full kitchen and table, plus living room.

What a great place this was. I'm a devoted PL customer, and have stayed all over the world using PL and getting spoiled with 4 star properties for 2 star prices. So when my bids on PL for Halifax failed (for the very first time) and I had to book direct, I was not a happy camper. Scouring Expedia I found this place with the cheapest rate, and the reviews were great, so I went for it. And boy was it a good decision.
I arrived at 11am, well before check in time. Not only did the great desk staff NOT refused to check me in, they picked up the phone, tracked down housekeeping, and found a room that fit my requests/booking type that just got cleaned and changed someone else's booking for later on to accommodate me. WOW. How could you beat that!!!!
The room itself was also great. It's a studio suite, with a kitchenette (actually more like a full one) with stove, exhaust fan, microwave, coffee maker and even a dishwasher. To top it off, it was fully stocked, down to clean pots/pan!!! Too bad I was only staying the night. The suite was huge, comfy bed, spotless bathroom (and everywhere else), and free HS internet. "We stayed at Residence Inn for 2 nights during August and were extremely impressed with everything about the place. We arrived with our luggage at around 10.30am, knowing we were too early to check in and they were only too happy to store it for us while we went exploring. They also expedited the cleaning of the room so we could check in earlier than normal. The reception staff were really friendly and our suite was just fantastic, so roomy - it was huge!! & clean. We'd requested a room with a view and were given just that, on the top floor with views over the water. There is a laundry there which is a great help especially when we were away from home for a month. The complimentary breakfast was very good and could even be taken on a tray to your room if preferred. Also free internet access was another plus. There is also a roof top area with barbeque for guests to use. Everything about the hotel was excellent and the price was reasonable. If we ever went back to Halifax we would definitely stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for luxury and friendliness and a reasonable price." from "TripAdvisor.com"
We stayed 2 nights; arriving by train and rented a car the day we checked out. The Halifax Residence Inn was well above my expectations. What a great place! It was very new and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, easily within walking distance of the major tourist sites, including the Citadel, Public Gardens, and the waterfront. They even made chocolate chip cookies and put them in little "house boxes" for my kids. No pool, but nice hot tub and an adequate workout room.
If Residence Inn is not usually on your list of hotel choices, give this one a try. You won't regret it!!!
