Guest Testimonials

Mr. LaLeune,

Hope you’re well... As an informal introduction, I am somewhat of a frequent guest at your hotel, probably not to any extreme, but moderately more than most.

That said, I wanted to provide you feedback on an experience that is consistent and unwavering, and this all originated with ‘Kimberly’. I was a frequent with your competitor, the Sheraton, until at one point they were unable to provide availability for the complete duration I required. I walked into your hotel and met Kimberly, and recall saying, “if you can accommodate, I will cease all future business with the Sheraton”; she did and I have been elated with that decision.

What absolutely sets your hotel, from that of any I have stayed in my travels throughout North America, is the service experience that your people provide. Without question, they’re second to none, and I cannot place enough emphasis on this. There is of course one that absolutely comes to the forefront, Kimberly. She is beyond courteous, more than accommodating and acutely consistent in her delivery. In that initial introduction, she certainly left an impression. From a selfish perspective, not having seen her for some time, but probably a positive signal for her career; I was setback when after what I felt was a considerable amount of time having past, she remembered my name. To her was probably a minor and everyday detail, but in a universe where people have been reduced to numbers, that provides immense mileage. Another individual is Jennifer, who has branded me as ‘tink’, again has provided excellent service and pleasantly augmented with an engaging personality and humor.

With that said, I need to reaffirm that all your people are fantastic, unfortunately I am not aware of all their names.

In terms of expressing what I realize on every stay, I have to use the words, service excellence. I have not had an experience that provided any elusion of negativity, at all. Those words are something that every industry and organization, strives to achieve, yet very few are triumphant. You and your people, represent what every organization strives to deliver and with that, you should be proud. I genuinely hope some form of recognition is provided to Kimberly and Jennifer, they are certainly deserving.

Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Thanks,

Glen Fillmore

Gentlemen,

I specifically asked for names/addresses of individuals to whom I could express my feelings about my stays at the Marriott Courtyard on Salter in Halifax. Yours have been provided to me. I have been a business traveler for almost 18 years, working in the healthcare information technology industry. Mostly this work has been in the US but also in Canada, the UK, and China. For many years, I have been a Platinum Elite Marriott member, and a very pleased one at that. But I have had a rare extraordinary experience in being served by the staff at this hotel. They have not only continuously exceeded my expectations for warmth, hospitality and service, but this is the very best hotel that I have ever stayed at in all of my 18 years of travel. I can mention several individuals by name including Megan, Howard, and Bee. They are absolutely delightful. But there are so many more, and my memory doesn't hold names the way it used to. I wouldn't want to leave a single person out from the front desk to the bar/room service team to the housekeeping staff to management. While I was very sick during my stay, they worried about me. One night they sent up orange juice and chicken soup to a very grateful guest. They helped me celebrate my birthday away from home. Howard was always there with (candy) kisses, and that simple act just makes you feel so special. Bee was always there with a smile and a warm greeting, and Megan was ready for my breakfast and coffee without a blink. When we needed help with securing future reservations or a team room to work in, they couldn't have been more helpful. This is a very special team, and I am very grateful to have been taken in by your home-away-from-home family. Please extend my deep appreciation and let them know how wonderful I know they all are.
